About
In a return to the origins of insurance, as it was with mutual aid associations of the past, we will not be providing insurance, rather we will provide a venue where users can freely design their own insurance.
On this platform, users can freely create insurance plans, and users can freely join any insurance plan that has been launched that is meaningful to them. Unizon is an innovative mutual aid protocol (escrow platform) that utilizes blockchain technology.
For many who work in the insurance industry who agonize over the divergence between the ideals that insurance companies espouse and the actual products they offer, this will make is possible to create an entirely new insurance plans that are truly needed, from design to delivery.
Recognizing that asset management is not an essential element of insurance, we believe pooling premiums collected within member groups as shared assets will enable mutual risk hedging. Therefore, we will implement this natural mutual aid mechanism in Unizon.
Doing so will allow us to reduce unnecessary business processes and costs, and avoid falling into the trap of opaque fund management. Additionally, if uncertain risks do not become a reality, a surplus is produced in the shared assets, and is distributed to insurance plan members.
We will collect small fees to support efforts to improve and expand Unizon, but will not pursue profitability beyond that. We will also establish an escrow platform free of conflicts of interest by building a service design that prevents this.
